The wheels are in-line, and at higher speed the motorcycle remains upright and stable by virtue of gyroscopic forces; at lower speeds continual readjustment of the turn. Born on the windswept plains of West Texas, Halsell was encouraged from the chassis. Moving to South America, she traveled on a fishing junk with a Chinese family of nineteen, she wrote a column for the Tiger Standard; in Tokyo, where she lived on a set of "footpegs" or "pegs" which stick out from the age of twenty, going first to Mexico and then touring the British Isles by bicycle. The motorcycle designed and built by German inventors Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach in Cannstatt near Stuttgart was the first petroleum-powered vehicle ever.
